ADP offers two versions of the Workforce Now (WFN) product: Current Generation and Next Generation (Next Gen).

When integrating Connecteam’s time clock with ADP WFN, you can choose to integrate with either the Current Gen or the Next Gen version. The differences between these versions are not visible to end users. This guide is intended to help you identify which version of ADP WFN your organization is using so you can complete the integration successfully.

How to Determine Which ADP WFN Version You Use

There are three ways to identify your ADP version:

  1. Contact your ADP representative
Submit an inquiry to ADP Support to confirm which version of Workforce Now your company is using.

  2. Check the ADP URL
When logged in to ADP, look at the base URL in your browser:

    • If the URL contains the word “cloud”, you are using WFN Next Gen.

    • If it does not (https://workforcenow.adp.com/), you are using WFN Current Gen.

  3. Review your company code

    • A 4-digit company code indicates WFN Next Gen.

    • A 3-character company code indicates WFN Current Gen.

In the future, once ADP allows us to identify the WFN version automatically, we will implement a solution that requires no action on your part.
