Yes, you can set a limit on the amount of time your employees can accrue per year. However, this option will only work if the Time Off Policy is set the policy to Earned per Hour, meaning your employee accrue time off based on the number of hours worked.

Once you've set your Time Off policy to be earned per hour, and chosen the rate at which employees earn Time Off, you can define the maximum number of hours employees can accrue per year.

Here’s how:

  1. Create a New Time Off Policy or edit an existing one.

  2. In the policy settings, set the Accrual Setting to Earned per hour and proceed to the next page.

  3. In the Yearly Accrual Limit section, enter the maximum number of hours employees can accrue per year. This will stop employees from accruing time off once they reach the yearly limit.

  4. Toggle the feature on, and you’re all set!

Tip: Regardless of how you have set up the time off policy units (in days or hours) you can still limit the amount of time employees accrue per year. The unit you choose will simply be reflected throughout the entire policy.
