Now that you've learned the basics about internal communications using the Chat feature, let's go over a few frequently asked questions to further assist you!

ℹ️ Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use the Chat on my computer?

Please note: while the video tutorial above explains how to use the feature from the mobile app, the Chat can also be used from the computer. So let's cover everything that can be done from here, too.

Once you access the Chat from the desktop, you can view all your existing chats and access any of them to communicate with your peers. You can also click on Add new at the top left to create new individual chats or team chats (only available if your admin enabled it). When you access any of your individual chats, team chats or channels, feel free to click on the three dots in the top right corner to view the chat info. You can see its description, any shared media (images and videos), and the list of users who are a part of the chat as well.

You can hover over any chat and click on the three dots next to it to use the following quick actions: mark as unread, archive, mute notifications, pin chat.

I am getting too many chat notifications. Can I mute them?

Yes, you can! You can either press and hold any chat and then select Mute, or you can access the chat, click the chat info in the top right corner, and toggle off the notifications.

I need to contact my manager, but I can't find him on the chat. How can I fix it?

If you are trying to contact your admin through the chat but can't find him anywhere, then your admin has disabled the option for users to contact them. If this is causing inconvenience, we highly encourage you to reach out to them through a different communication channel and request that the option to contact them be activated.

💡Tip: If your admin enabled this, you can access the Directory and try to find their contact information there.

I archived a conversation but I need it back, how can I restore it?

Access the archived conversations section, find the relevant chat, press and hold, and select the option to unarchive conversation.
