Integrating Connecteam with your point of sales (POS) system enables you to transfer all your sales data into Connecteam. This is a game changer when managing and scheduling your restaurant's staff. By integrating your POS, you can view sales data and compare it with labor costs directly on the schedule and in the Sales vs. Labor report. In this article, we will go over how to connect the integration.

Before we begin please note: The admin connecting the integration requires the following permissions within their Lightspeed K POS user permissions: 'User has write access to the Back Office', and 'User has access to the Back Office reports.

Please note that this capability is currently in Beta testing. If you have an account with Lightspeed and would like to try it out please reach out to our support team.

Connecting the Integration Step-by-Step

To connect your POS to Connecteam follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to the 'Activity' on your sidebar on the left-hand side and enter the 'Sales vs Labor Tab'.

Step 2: Click on 'Connect to POS.'

Step 3: Choose Lightspeed and press 'Connect'.

A pop-up will appear confirming your selection, select 'Connect to Lightspeed'.

Step 4: At this point, you will be directed to Lightspeed's login page to enter your login information.

You'll then be asked to authorize the sharing of data between Lightspeed and Connecteam. Simply make sure both options are toggled on as seen below.

Step 5: Now, you should see that the connection was successful and be asked to import your sales data. Choose how many months of data you would like to import (from 1 month up to 2 years) and click import. Please note that Connecteam only imports net sales per location per day.

Now you should see what the integration is connected to, with the option to disconnect it if needed.

💡Tip: If you choose not to import your sales data when initially connecting the integration, you can do so later on. Simply head to the activity, sales vs labor tab, click on lightspeed, and click on import.
