If you are not new to the Connecteam platform, then we are sure that you know about Admin permissions. These permissions allow you to set exactly what actions an admin can take in regard to a specific feature. With our forms feature, you can create digital forms on various topics for your employees. To ensure that each form is managed correctly and appropriately, you can set different permissions for the different admins who need to manage forms. In this article we will go over the admin permissions which are specific to the forms feature and how to set them.

💡Tip: If you are new to Connecteam, we recommend you have a look at this article to get a better understanding of what Admin permissions are, before continuing with this step.

How to Set Admin Permissions in the Forms Feature

To set permissions for an admin in the forms feature, enter the feature go to the admin section in the top panel, and select the + sign. Here you can add a new admin and set their permissions, or adjust the permissions for an existing admin. Take a look at how this looks below.

Types of Permissions

You can define several types of permissions for each category of forms you create.

Viewing Submissions - This permission will allow the admin to enter the admin dashboard of each form and through the "View Submissions" button view submitted forms, download forms, use filters, and make comments.

Edit Submissions - This permission will allow the admin to enter the admin dashboard of each form and through the "Submit Submissions" edit the employees' answers, add manager fields, and manage the Form submission as a whole. This setting will not allow them to edit anything in the form feature but submissions.

Edit Form and Form Submissions - This permission will allow the admin to enter the admin dashboard of each form, view the submission statistics, send reminders to users, edit the form itself by adding questions or change its structure, and enter the form settings and change them. The admin can Edit recipients, delete, and even archive the form.

Add New Forms - This permission will allow the admin in addition to the previous three permissions to create new forms within the form feature.

What Do My Admins See When Performing an Action They Do Not Have Permissions For?

If an admin tries to perform an action that they do not have permission for they will be notified that permission is required. Take a look at how this looks below.

💡Tip: Stay tuned! In the future, you will release permissions for specific forms and not the entire forms feature as a whole. This will enable you to give admins different permissions per a form.
