Admin Permissions on the User's tab allow you to decide which actions your admins are and are not allowed to take in regard to users. They give you control over which admins have the ability to view, add & edit, and manage other admins and user details. You can permit them with all types of permission or choose which access to grant them.

In this article we will go over:

How to Set Up Admin Permissions on the Users Tab

To set up Admin Permissions on the Users tab, access the Users Tab and click on the "category admin" list. Next, click on the admins and edit their permission, you can select one or multi-select them all. The options are View, Add & edit, Manage Admins, and Manage User Details. Please note that each admin can only view or edit information of users who they are admins of on their smart groups.

Types of Admin Permissions

You can define several types of permissions for each admin.

  • View: This option will allow the admin to view the Users tab only, without editing the user's information. They will be able to access the "Users details" but won't have permission to edit users' information or edit the user's profile page.

  • Add & Edit: This option allows admins to add new users and edit the details of existing from their profile.

  • Manage Admins: this option allows admins to add other admins to the platform, manage their permissions to features and smart groups and adjust their access level.

  • Manage User Details: this option control who can edit and add user details from the 'Manage User Details' tab.

  • Manage Invite Links: this option allows admins to add, edit, delete, and manage the invite links.

Take a look at the example below where admin Ryan has permission to Add & Edit users, but he doesn't have permission to manage the user details. These are his permissions:

This is what he can do with these permissions:

What would an admin see if they try to perform an action they don't have permission for?

If an admin tries to perform an action without permission, such as "adding users", a pop-up message will appear stating he should contact the admin.

If an admin that has restricted permissions tries to perform an action without permission in the mobile view, a pop-up message will appear stating he should contact the admin.
