We at Connecteam care about protecting our businesses' assets and users' personal data. With cyber-attacks against companies and individuals being as common as ever, we understand the need to amp up security measures in order to secure sensitive information. Connecteam provides the necessary precaution to reduce the risk of account compromise and data breaches - the option to enable device authentication for mobile devices.

Device authentication helps ensure that only authorized devices can access a system or network. By verifying the identity of the device and device holder, businesses can protect their resources from unauthorized access. In this article, we will cover how device authentication works for users on the mobile app and how to enable it from the admin dashboard.

How device authentication works

Users will be required to authenticate using their device's authentication method when accessing the mobile app. The authentication method will be determined according to their device’s face recognition or fingerprint authentication.
