Although Connecteam is an all-in-one employee management app we understand the importance of being able to transfer certain information outside of the Connecteam app. This is particularly true when it comes to your schedule. By being able to sync your Conneteam schedule to your personal schedule you can always stay up to date and minimize scheduling errors, like scheduling a doctor's appointment when you are scheduled to work, or agreeing to swap shifts when you really have a personal commitment. At Connecteam you can sync the job schedule to other calendar applications including Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar, etc.

This is incredibly useful if you work for example at two branches with two separate schedules, by syncing them to your calendar app you will be able to see both schedules as one.
How To Sync Your Calendar App
Syncing your calendar is divided into two steps getting the calender sync link and adding the link to your calendar app. Below is a guide on how to set this up for both the mobile app and the desktop - please note that if you are syncing on the mobile app is only available on iOS (Apple).
Step 1: Get the Calender Sync Link
To get your unique calendar link, you can log into Connecteam on your employee desktop.
Click on the job schedule on the left sidebar
Go to settings. Here you will be able to copy the link.

Enter the schedule.
Click on the settings in the top right-hand corner. Here you will be able to copy the link.

Step 2: Add the Link to Your Calendar Application
Navigate to the Other Calendars section and click on the + button to add another calendar.
Select the From URL
Paste the link, and click on Add Calendar.
After you finish with these steps you will be able to see your Connecteam calendar overlayed onto your Google Calendar app. Take a look at how this looks below:
Once you have synced the calendar via the dashboard you will also be able to see the calendar in your google calendar app. To view the calendar, enter the google calendar app on your mobile device, click the menu in the top left-hand corner, and select settings.
Then click on show more, and select the calendar you're synced above.
Now toggle on the sync option. After that, you should be able to see this schedule on your calendar app.
In your Outlook calendar click on Add Calendar, then click on Subscribe from Web. Paste the link and customize the settings according to your desired needs. When finished click on import.
After you finish with these steps you will be able to see your Connecteam calendar overlayed onto your Outlook Calendar app. Take a look at how this looks below:
Once you synced the calendar you will also be able to see it in the Outlook calendar app on your mobile device. Click on the menu in the top left corner, and make sure the calendar you synced on your desktop is checked.
Once inside your calendar click on File and select New Calendar Subscription
Paste the link and press Subscribe.
Continue adjusting your settings and press OK.
After you finish with these steps you will be able to see your connecteam shifts overlayed onto your Apple calendar app. Take a look at how this looks below:
Once inside your calendar app click on Calendar at the bottom and then Add Subscription Calendar.
Now, enter the link you copied from your Connecteam app, and click subscribe. Continue adjusting your calendar app settings and press Add when ready.

Frequently Asked Questions
What gets synced from Connecteam to the Calendar App?
Only published shifts assigned to the user are synced from Connecteam to the Calendar app. Keep in mind this means they will not see open shifts in their personal calendar as they are not published to the user until they have been claimed by the employee.
How Often Is the Sync Updated?
The sync update varies by your calendar app software and can be anywhere from a few hours up to 24 hours.
What Date Range is Synced?
The date range of the sync is for the past 3 months and all the shifts moving in the future.
On the Connecteam app, I see that my shift has notes and attachments. These don't appear on my synced calendar, why is that?
At the moment Connecteam only syncs the shift title, job, start and end time. It does not sync notes, attachments, or tasks. To view these you will need to log into the connecteam app and view your shifts inside the schedule.
My Calendars' Name Did Not Sync, How Can I Fix This?
If your calendar did not sync properly and the name is a web address for example https://connecteam.com then it's best to delete the unsync calender link from your personal sync and try to resync the calender following the steps outlined above. As a general rule of thumb, if you are experiencing issues with the calendar sync the first thing to try is unsync and resync the schedule 😊.

How Do I Get Help with the Schedule Sync?
Connecteam only provides the URL link for the calendar sync. While you can always reach out to our live support team to see if the issue is on our end in most cases it will be an issue related to the calender app you are syncing the schedule to.
