Yes! You can block unavailability for specific users on specific days.
This capability will allow admins to determine which users, teams or departments' attendance is crucial on certain days, and prevent them from submitting unavailabilities on these days to ensure all hands are on deck!
To block unavailability for specific users, enter the Job Scheduling feature found in the left sidebar, and access the relevant Job Schedule. From there, hover over the date you would like to block unavailabilities for, and click on the three dots on the right. Next, select Block unavailability, determine if you would like it to be all day or only during certain hours, and add a note explaining why unavailabilities are restricted on this day.
In the final stage, select who the block will apply to. You will be able to select smart groups, select users or both! For example, if you need a certain department or team to be present on this day, as well as another employee from a different team, you can select both a smart group and the additional user. Take a look at the process below!
** Blocking Unavailability is available on the Advanced Plan and above**
When Users Try to Mark Unavailability On the Mobile App
When an employee tries to mark their unavailability through the mobile app on a blocked day, they'll see a message explaining that the admin has restricted the ability to mark unavailability on that date. The message will also include any note the admin added.
