Being able to compare scheduled times with actual worked hours is crucial for managing your business costs effectively. By tracking these differences, you can ensure accurate payroll and make better staffing decisions based on real data. This helps you optimize your workforce planning and make decisions that control labor costs, while still ensuring profitability.
Please Note: This view connects your Job Scheduler to the Time Clock, showing you actual worked hours (tracked in Time Clock) directly in your schedule view. Therefore your employees need to be using the Time Clock and clocking in.
To activate the ability to view scheduled vs actual hours:
Navigate to the Job Scheduler from the left sidebar and select your schedule.
Click on 'View Options' in the top left menu.
Toggle on 'Scheduled vs. Actual' from the dropdown menu to compare planned and actual working hours.
When you enable this view, you'll see hour indications displayed above each shift, showing the gap between scheduled and actual worked hours. Click any indicator to open a detailed view comparing that employee's scheduled and worked hours.
💡Tip: When preparing for payroll, you can also access this comparison view in the timesheet tab. Read more about that here.
