Designed to serve as a tool for managers who want to incentivize and motivate their workers, the rewards feature is an amazing way to show recognition and appreciation to your team in the form of tokens, which can be used to purchase gift cards.

What are Tokens?
Tokens are a digital form of money that users receive when you reward them. When sending tokens, you can send whatever amount you want. Users can use tokens to buy gift cards at a variety of places, like coffee shops or restaurants.
How to Purchase Tokens
Tokens can be purchased in the Connecteam platform. This makes it easy for you to ensure you always have enough tokens when needed.
To buy tokens simply press the purchase tokens button and select the relevant bundle. Purchased Tokens never expire and can always be refunded if needed!
Please note: while tokens will always be shown and purchased in USD (US dollars), the recipient can use them to purchase cards in other currencies.
How to Send Tokens to Users
To send tokens follow these steps:
Navigate to the Send Tokens button in the top left corner.
Select the user you want to reward tokens to.
Select the number of tokens or create a custom amount
Write a message
Press Send
Viola, you have rewarded your user!
The Card Library
The card library is where you can decide exactly which gift cards your users purchase with their tokens. If you are a large company, this allows owners to ensure users are not purchasing gift cards from your competitors.
All cards are toggled on by default, so users located in a country where cards are offered will automatically see them available for purchase.
To remove cards from being available to purchase, enter the card library, toggle on the desired country, and toggle off the particular card.
Keeping Track of Token Usage
Now that you purchased and sent tokens, you may want to keep track of your users' usage activity or how your admins use the tokens purchased. At Connecteam we give you all these insights. In your rewards lobby on your Launchpad, there are three views; sent tokens, user activity, and purchase history. Let's go over each one.
Sent tokens - gives an overview of all the tokens sent and by which admin
User activity - lets you know how your users used their claimed tokens
Purchase history - gives you a history of all the tokens purchased

Frequently Asked Questions
When I try to purchase tokens for the first time I’m asked to contact Support. Why is that?
When purchasing tokens for the first time you will be asked to contact Support. This is a security limitation in order to verify you are the owner/admin of the account and to prevent fraudulent use of the platform. Our Support team will run a validation check on your account to see that there is no suspicious or fraudulent activity. Once the Support team finishes the validation check successfully, you will be updated and all set to purchase the tokens!
When is the best time to use rewards?
Admins can award users for various work-related activities like employees who claimed challenging shifts or finished courses successfully to milestones and personal events like anniversaries or birthdays. It is an engaging and exciting feature that will make your employees feel appreciated and will push your business forward in a simple and quick way.
When My Users Purchase Gift Cards, Why is the Ratio of Tokens to Dollars Different?
The purchase price of tokens for you as an admin is not the same as the cost of gift cards purchased by your users, due to transaction fees imposed by vendors.
The exchange value of tokens for gift cards depends on the vendor's specific agreement and can vary between shops. Vendors charge transaction fees for their gift cards when users exchange their tokens for cards, and the fee will be automatically deducted from the employee’s available token balance.
The transactional fee in the US is 10% for any purchased gift card and 15% for all other countries, as it includes an exchange rate fee.
These fees are taken in order to pay for the various transaction fees related to providing gift cards in multiple countries. The fees "paid" are to our gift card provider and include credit card and bank transfer fees and exchange rate fees.
Note that when purchasing tokens you are always notified that the price of purchasing tokens and the prices of the gift cards may differ.
It is also important to note that as a company Connecteam does not profit from these fees - they are simply taken to cover the cost of providing gift cards in multiple countries.

How can I see what gift cards users can purchase? Can I also limit what cards users choose to only certain gift cards?
Yes, you can limit what vendors users can purchase gift cards from.
Navigate to the rewards feature and to the card library. Here you can see a list of vendors which your users can use their tokens to purchase gift cards from. You (the admin/owner) can toggle on and off the relevant gift cards.
