While we always recommend using Connecteam's chat feature, due to the wide range of capabilities it offers, and as it does not involve any additional charges, sending text messages can be a great alternative to our chat feature for cases in which your employee does not have access to an internet connection or if their app notifications are disabled.
In this article, we will go over how you, as an admin, will be able to send a text message to your employees!

How to Send a Text Message to an Individual User
To send a text message to an individual user, first make sure to purchase the necessary amount of text messages. After doing so, follow these steps:
Access the user's page found on the left sidebar
Locate the relevant employees and enter their user profile.
Finally, click on the Message tab on the top right of the page.
From here, you will be able to select a title that only account admins will be able to view, and write your message to the user in the Message box. When you're done, continue to the next stage.
As this message is sent to an individual employee, the system will skip directly to the Summary stage, where you will see a summary of the number of messages sent, amount of recipients, and a breakdown of your current balance and the future balance after sending the text message. Please note, that any message over 110 characters will be sent as two separate messages.
After sending the message, the user will receive it as a regular SMS message to their device:
