Understand Why You Can't Send Text Messages and How to Fix This

Are you having trouble sending text messages in Connecteam? This article covers the most common reasons why you might be experiencing issues and how to resolve them.

The types of issues that might be encountered are:

Issue 1: Text Message Budget Is Used Up

You may have exhausted your text message budget.

To fix this:

  1. Navigate to the Text Message feature from the left sidebar.

  2. Check your remaining balance at the top of the page

  3. If you've used all your messages, click on 'Top Up' to purchase additional credits

Issue 2: You Don't Have Admin Permissions for Text Message

You might not have the necessary permissions to send text messages. Since this feature involves spending company money, it is dealt with carefully.

To fix this:

  1. Ask your account owner to check your permissions

  2. Your account owner should navigate to the Users tab and o to the Admin tab

  3. Next, they should find your name or any other admin to whom they wish to give the permissions.

  4. Under the permissions column, they will need to select 'Text Messages', and then they can choose which text message permissions they want to grant you. To read more about this, click here.

Issue 3: Mobile App Issues

You may be encountering a general problem with the app.

To fix this, try the following:

  1. Ensure your internet connection is working properly

  2. Log out and log back into the app

  3. Force close and reopen the app
