How to Create and Edit an Update from The Admin's Tab

Here at Connecteam, we understand the importance of managing your business on the go. This is why we created the Admins’ Tab on the mobile app. Now you can manage your team and stay updated from anywhere!

The Updates feature is a great way to engage employees and interact with them. Think of the update feature as your company's social wall allowing you to communicate with and involve your employees in your company's day-to-day. and now you can post new updates while on the go.

When Should you use the Updates Feature

  • Birthdays and anniversaries

  • Employee benefits

  • Weather updates

  • Share locations of meetings, celebrations, etc.

How to Create an Update from the Admin's Tab

Navigate to your Admin's tab on the mobile app which is located in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Choose the Updates asset

(either from the Quick access section or from the Active Assets)

If you select the Updates from the Active Assets, click on Create new update.

Here, you can write your update and choose a colorful background

You can also add an Image/ Video/ File/ Link/ Youtube video/ Location/ Live Poll/GIF/ Shurtcuts.

Pro tip: use the Shortcut capability to send internal links through the update feature sending the users directly to the relevant content with a click of a button.

Next, click on Publish in the upper right corner of the screen

Choose the relevant Smart Group/ Users that should see the update and click Next step

Choose if you want to publish the Update now or schedule a later date for the update to be published.

Decide if users should be notified that an update has been posted (You can edit the notification message the users will receive), and whether they can like and comment on the post. And finally, choose if the update will be posted anonymously.

Click on Next step and Publish update.

Pro tip: You can save an update as a draft by clicking the arrow in the top left corner and then choosing to save as draft.

How to edit an existing update from the Admin's Tab

Navigate to your Admin's tab on the mobile app which is located in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Choose the Updates asset from the Active Assets.

Choose the relevant Update and click on the three dots to the right of the update

You can edit the update itself, edit the Update's assignments. You can also Archive or Delete the update.

To restore an archived update click on the Archived option in the top right corner of the screen.

Click on the three dots to the right of the update and select Unarchive
