The Quick Tasks is a simple and intuitive feature that will allow you to simply assign tasks to specific users at any time from anywhere. However, we recognize that creating and delegating tasks can be lengthy and troublesome for many organizations. With quick task permissions, you are now able to decide who should be able to create and assign tasks to others through the user's view on the mobile application.

This article explains how to set the user permissions. If you are looking to set your admin permissions for the Quick Tasks feature or the 'All Tasks' tab from the admin's view, you can do so here.

Setting Your User Permissions

The User Permissions can be accessed by going to the Quick Tasks feature on the right sidebar, clicking on Options on the top right, then Settings, and navigating to the General tab.

Here, you will find the following three different options:

Only admins can create tasks for users

  • This is the default option for the user permissions and it's mainly for organizations that prefer to keep task creation for admins and owners only.

  • If this option is selected, regular users will not be able to create any quick tasks at all from the user's view and only admins and owners will hold this privilege.

Allow only the mobile users designated in the list below to create and assign tasks to other users

  • If this option is selected, only admins and users who are manually chosen will be able to create quick tasks for themselves and others.

Allow all users to create and assign tasks to other users unless they are listed in the list below

This option will allow you to quickly manually select who will not be able to create tasks out of your users and admins. Those selected, like the 4 users in the example above, will not be able to create any quick tasks at all for themselves or others.

Please note: since admins are also considered users in the platform, if you enable this option, all admins will be able to create tasks for all users in the account regardless if they manage those employees or not.

*The ability to set the User Permissions for Quick Tasks is only available from the Advanced Operations Hub Plan and above*
