Setting up your Connecteam app notifications is essential to ensure you're notified of important information on time and can focus on the tasks that matter most. To manage your notifications, you must first activate them in your mobile device settings and then choose which notifications you want to receive from the mobile app.

This article we'll cover:

Step 1: Allow Notifications On Your Mobile Device

  2. Access the Notifications section

  3. Find the Connecteam app

  4. Toggle on the option Allow Notifications

  5. Customize how you will receive the notifications from the Connecteam app

  6. Done!

Android

  1. Go to your Android's Settings

  2. Access the Notifications section

  3. Then select the App Settings

  5. Turn on the Notifications

  6. Done!

Step 2: Customize Your Notifications From the Mobile App

Now that you've configured your mobile device's settings, it's time to access the Connecteam app and decide which notifications to receive.

Access the Notifications Center

  1. Log in to your account from the mobile device

  2. Press the notifications bell in the top right corner and then on the settings icon

  3. You are now in the Notifications Center, where you can opt in or out of all your notifications and customize them.

What Notifications Can I Customize?

You can customize the general app notifications and the ones for each relevant feature (Job Schedule, Quick Tasks, Time Clock, Time Off, and Celebrations). Begin by going over the general settings, where you can choose which days of the week to get notified and also have the following options available:

  • Enabled

  • Mute when I'm not working - this option will mute notifications when you are off the clock or not assigned to any shifts.

  • Mute for 1 hour

  • Mute for 8 hours

  • Mute for 2 days

  • Disabled

You can then customize notifications for each feature. Simply toggle them on or off to entirely enable or disable notifications. If you have multiple assets within a feature (like multiple time clocks, for example), you can adjust the settings for each one individually.

Additionally, the Job Schedule and Quick Tasks notifications provide even further customization options.

Job Schedule

You can set the following notifications for each of your schedules:

  • Send notifications:

    • Before shift starts - you can disable this or choose between being notified a certain amount of time before (like 15 minutes, an hour, or 24 hours before, for example)

    • When shift starts

    • When a schedule is published

    • A shift status was changed

    • Shift replacement request

  • Send email when:

    • A shift was assigned to me

    • A shift was edited

    • A shift was deleted

Quick Tasks

You can toggle on or off the following notifications:

  • Notifications about my tasks:

    • A new task was assigned to me

    • A task was edited

    • A task has past due date

    • A task start time is approaching

  • Notifications about tasks I created

    • A user has completed a task

    • All sub-tasks were completed for a task

    • A task's due date has passed

    • A user added a comment on a task

    • A user has viewed the task

    • A task start time is approaching

  • Default due date is X time after task creation time
