In Connecteam, we want to ensure managers can assign each Job Schedule to the relevant employees. A Time Clock can be assigned to either smart groups or selected users. Let's understand how exactly to edit the assignment of a schedule so only the right employees have access to it.

In this article we'll cover:

Smart Groups vs Selected Users

  • Smart Groups: assigning the Job Schedule to a Smart Group is a dynamic assignment that applies both to existing and future users. This means that each time you add a new user they will automatically be assigned the relevant schedule based on the smart groups they are a part of.

  • Selected Users: assigning the Job Schedule to selected users is a static assignment, meaning the feature is only assigned to the employees selected at the time of assignment. Each time you add a new employee, you will need to edit the schedule's assignments and assign them to the new users.

How to Edit the Assignments of the Job Schedule

To edit the assignments of the Job Schedule:

  1. Log in to your admin dashboard

  2. Access the Job Schedule feature from the left sidebar
