If you would like to choose the admins of a team chat/channel then when creating the chat it is important to assign the chat to selected users and not to a smart group.
If the team chat or channel must be assigned to a smart group, then it is best to add the relevant admins as administrators to the smart group and have them create the group.
To add an admin as an administrator of a smart group head to the smart group tab, find the relevant smart group clock on administrated by, then click on group admins and add the relevant admins. Take a look at how this looks below.
