There are several ways to troubleshoot why you might not be receiving push notifications. Let's review some scenarios that might help you resolve the issue.
Scenario 1: I Didn't Get a Push Notification
As an admin, if you're not receiving push notifications, it's crucial to determine which type you're missing. You might not be getting notifications from a specific feature or your account at all.
From a Specific Feature
If you're receiving some notifications but not others, start by checking the settings for the specific feature and ensuring that its notifications are enabled.
For example, if you're not receiving Time Clock notifications, such as alerts about users being auto-clocked out or edited shifts, you'll need to access the Settings for the relevant Time Clock, navigate to the Notifications tab, and verify whether the option is activated.
If the notification is not activated, you can enable it and save the changes. If it was already activated but you're still not receiving the notifications, please check your device settings using the instructions in the next section of this article.
💡Tip: To quickly check the notification settings for different features, access the Notifications Center by clicking the bell icon in the top right corner and then the settings icon. Now, you can quickly access the notification settings for each relevant feature, as illustrated below.
Any Type of Notification
If you're not receiving any notifications from any feature, you should check your device settings.
Mobile App
iPhone: Access your iPhone settings, scroll down until you find the Connecteam app, and select it. Open the Notifications settings and make sure the option Allow notifications is toggled on.
Android: Access your Android settings, then go to Apps. Find the Connecteam app and select it. Then, choose Notifications and make sure the option Allow notifications is toggled on.
Once you ensure that notifications are enabled on your iPhone or Android device, open the Connecteam app, go to the Feed tab, and tap the bell icon in the top right corner, then the Settings icon to access the Notifications Center. Make sure notifications are Enabled, select the days of the week you want to receive push notifications, and then customize notifications for each feature.
Desktop
To check that your notification settings are enabled for Connecteam on the desktop:
Click the three dots on the top right corner of Google Chrome and access the Settings
Navigate to the Privacy and Security tab on the left sidebar, then the Site Settings
Choose the Notifications
Finally, ensure to select the option Sites can ask to send notifications and also to find the Connecteam website located at the bottom, click on the three dots next to it and choose Allow.
Scenario 2: My Employees Are Not Getting Push Notifications
When an employee notifies you that they are not getting push notifications, it's also crucial that you ask them if they are missing any particular ones or if they are not getting any at all. If they are not getting any notifications at all, please ask them to check their device settings using the instructions above.
If they are not getting the push notification for a specific feature, it's important for you as an admin to check and ensure that you are indeed sending the push notification when publishing assets to them. For example, when creating a form and publishing it, you need to activate the "Notify employees via push notification" option.
How Do I Stop Getting Push Notifications
If you'd like to stop getting push notifications for a specific feature, please navigate to the feature directly and turn off the notifications.
For example, to turn off push notifications for the Job Schedule, access the schedule, open the Settings, navigate to the Notifications tab, and toggle off the option on top to opt out of all notifications from this particular schedule. Finally, save the changes. If you have multiple schedules, you must repeat this process for each one.
If you'd like to stop receiving push notifications completely, please follow these steps to access your device settings and disable all Connecteam notifications.
