To prevent an employee's birthday from being visible in Connecteam, you can take several approaches depending on your specific needs:

Remove Visibility of Birthday in User Profile Fields

First, you will need to change the visibility settings of the birthday field in the User Profile Fields.

To do so follow these steps:

  1. Head over to the 'Users' section from the left sidebar.

  2. Click on 'Manage user details' in the top right

  3. Find the birthday field in the list of personal details, click on Settings, and change the visibility settings for this field: select which admins can see the information, and where it says 'Visible for mobile users, ' you can uncheck this option so it won't be visible.

This way, you can control who can see birthday information while still maintaining the data in your system.

Note: If you choose this option, keep in mind that the birthday won't be celebrated in the Celebrations feature (which appears on the company feed).

💡 Tip: To respect your employees' privacy, consider adding a note in their profile asking if they want their birthday to be visible to colleagues and celebrated on the company feed.

Remove Visibility of Birthday Information in the Directory

If you want to remove your employees' birthdays from being displayed in the Directory, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Directory from the left sidebar

  2. Click on 'Options' on the top right

  3. Select 'Settings'

  4. Scroll down to the Users section and uncheck the birthday field - this will remove the display of birthdays for all employees
