Tags are a smart and useful way to identify your workforce. They are very easy to create and they will help you create a smart group within a smart group.
Here's an example- if you have a custom field which applies to all employees - called "seniority" that you have completed accordingly with supervisors, team leaders, managers, employees, etc, and you would like to send an update to all supervisors from the New York branch, you can create a tag called "New York".
After creating the content, you can choose the select employees assignment and filter your employees using tags.

How to create a new Tag:
There are 2 ways to create a new tag: There are two ways to create a new tag: one is through the user's profile and another is using the search option. Below we will go over each of there:
Creating a tag via Users profile
Click on your Users tab from your sidebar.
Select any user you wish and enter their personal profile.
Click Add tags.
A new window will open on the right side of the screen. Click Create new tag and type your tag -
Changing a Tag Using the Search option:
Click your Users tab from your sidebar.
Select any user you wish.
Click Add tags.
A new window will open on the right side of the screen. Start typing on the search tags field.
Type the desired tag and click + create new tag
Attach an existing tag to a user:
Click your Users tab from your sidebar.
Select any user you wish.
Click Add tags.
Use the search option.
Select the tag.
Click Save Changes.
Use a bulk action to tag more than one user:
Head to your Users tab from your sidebar.
Select the relevant users.
Click on the Actions button.
Choose Tag users.
Pick the desired tags -
Note that bulk actions are available from the Advanced Operations plan.
Pro Tip: All content previously assigned to a smart group that contains the tags that you selected, will now be visible to the employee.
If you want to check which tags have been assigned to any given user, click the Users tab and select any user
How to view a specific tag from Manage Tag window:
Head to the Users tab from the left sidebar.
Select a random user.
Click + Add tags.
Click on the Manage tags and you’ll be able to see how many users are tagged in each tag.
Clicking on the number of users will specify which users are tagged in this tag.
How to filter for users in a smart group using tags
Head to the Smart group Tab from the left sidebar.
Click On the Edit Filters by the 'Group is filtered by'
There you will be able to filter the smart group by tag
Pro tip: You can add or delete tags attached to an employee at any given time.
