The Tutorial

Welcome to the Admin Dashboard, where the magic happens! But before you become a professional magician, you first need to know how to pull a rabbit out of your hat. Luckily, Connecteam provides you with all the tools you need to get started. Once you select 'Let's Go' in the middle of your screen, you will start your journey with a 7-step tutorial.

The tutorial is as follows:

  1. Activate the Time Clock

  2. Activate the Job Scheduler

  3. Log in to the Mobile App

  4. Add Another Admin

  5. Activate the Chat

  6. Activate the Directory

  7. Send an Update

Alongside the tutorial, Connecteam also provides you with a short video playlist for each main asset that will go into more depth about how to use the feature. As an incentive, for every feature playlist you watch, you will also get a $5 credit added to your account!

A Quick Pit-Stop

So you just completed the tutorial and you're ready to get started. Before you get into the zone, we highly encourage you to set up your company settings. You can do this by selecting your name in the top right-hand corner of your Admin Dashboard and clicking Settings! From here, you can set your time format, time zone, how the mobile app will look for your employees, upload your company logo, and more!

I know I just activated my Assets, but what are they?

Assets are the features you add to your employee app. Asset activation and creation are an essential part of delivering content to your employees' Connecteam app.

Assets provide different value to different companies, and no one knows your business better than you. So, create a few test assets prior to onboarding your employees to get a better understanding of its functionalities. You can always add and remove assets that appear in the app.

Getting Started

If your main focus is our operational features, like the Time Clock & Job Scheduler, we highly encourage you to play around with one or both assets (whichever you need) after activation.

Having a tutorial with videos is great and all, but nothing beats hands-on activities like creating shifts in the job schedule or getting familiar with the time clock.

In addition, a great way to get a better understanding of the asset and to make sure it is customized to your business' needs is to access the settings. In either asset, you can find the Settings in the top right-hand corner (for the Scheduler it is Options, then Settings).

Now if your main focus is Communication & Engagement, you will love our Chat, Updates, and Directory! With these three main features, as well as others that we offer, you can ensure your employees are up-to-date with all company-related announcements all while using our easy-to-use and interactive app.
