👥 Step 1: Add your user to Connecteam
Let’s start from the start, which is to add a new member of your team to Connecteam!
Once you logged in to the platform, navigate your way to the ‘Users tab’ on the left-hand side and click on it.
Once inside the tab simply click on ‘Add users’ and fill in the requested details.
After filling in all the details, make sure to send the invite so Roy can download and connect to the application.
Congratulations! We have completed the first step!
ℹ️ Step 2: Update personal information and add it to your smart groups
This will go a long way in the future, helping you organize and structure your company the way you imagine and best suit your needs and easily distribute the relevant content to the relevant people.
📢 Step 3: Create a welcome update
Now, Let’s give a warm welcome to our newest member of the team!
In a Connecteam shutout way using the updates feature. Using this feature you can make any boring announcements fun and engage.
Navigate to the Updates feature on the left-hand side.
Once we have clicked on the feature, let’s click on ‘add new’ on the right-hand corner of the screen.
From there we will choose the create from scratch option
Now let your imagination take the steering wheel and create a Welcome update! Add GIFs , Images, or anything you like.
The best part is that your whole team can welcome him by liking the post and even commenting.

💼 Step 4: Store all Documents in one place
Now, you might be wondering where you should store his contract, W-4, signed company policies, covid certification, etc.
We thought of that also so you can do it all in-house. Using our Documents feature you will keep track of important work documents per employee, set expiration for certifications, and ensure all required documents submitted by employees are accurate.
Let’s navigate our way to Documents on our left-hand sidebar and click on it.
Once inside, you can create packs - Connecteam’s new name for the old-time paper folders and assign them to relevant people to ask for relevant documents. You can approve or decline uploaded documents, upload documents on behalf of users, and even set expiration dates for specific documents through the setting tab.

👩🏫 Step 5: Create an onboarding course
So everyone is aware of the new team member and has wished him good luck. Now we need to build an onboarding Course using the Courses feature to get Roy up to date with all that is going on in the restaurant. Who is in charge of what, what do, how dishes look like, recipes, and much more!
The Courses feature is a way to easily create and deliver any type of training or process for the team to be able to perform from anywhere and at any time - from their mobile app or PC!

Roy has completed the course and can slowly start working in a much more organized manner having all his information available to him at all times.
Last but not least, celebrating birthdays and anniversaries is a show of care and appreciation to your employees.
Using our Celebration feature you can set Birthdays and anniversaries scheduled to be announced once they occur.
Simply access the Celebration tab on the left-hand side of the dashboard
Once inside the tab go to Options on the top right-hand corner and click on settings.
Here you can choose what you want to celebrate.
