Although it's not currently possible to assign one single shift for a user that contains multiple jobs, we do offer a couple of helpful options to tackle this need!
Before learning more about them, creating a shift will multiple shifts is on our roadmap. Add your vote to this feature request to push it forward!
Option 1: Creating a Single Shift for Each Job
Let's understand when it is more convenient to use this first option:
For Time Tracking of Each Job/Shift- this offers a more detailed and organized view of each job/task for the users. Employees will clock in and focus on one job at a time and switch between each job before clocking out. This will provide admins with precise clock ins/outs records for each job/shift This can be beneficial for you when reviewing their timesheets, making sure the needed amount of time is being allocated to each, and if you need to bill clients for jobs works.
For Geofencing - if one of the jobs/tasks you need this user to do needs to be done from a specific location, this option will allow you to ensure they can only clock in to complete it from that specific place.
To create single shifts, follow these steps:
Access the Job Scheduler
You can either hover your cursor on the employee's row on a relevant day and click on the '+' (Add) button or click on the 'Add' button on the top right and select the 'Add single shift' option.
Let's take the example of the user Emily Davis who has to do 5 jobs in one day. This is what her schedule would look like:

Option 2: Take Advantage of Shift Tasks
Let's understand when it is more convenient to use this second option:
If geofencing is not needed
If time tracking and having each task/job recorded on the timesheets is not needed
If you want the user to have a more straightforward view of their workday, and benefit from greater freedom and flexibility in deciding the duration and timing of each job within their shift.
If you do not need to bill clients for jobs done individually.
To create a shift task, follow these steps:
Access the Job Scheduler
Create a new shift or access an existing shift
Under the shift's window, head over to the Shift Tasks tab
Click on the 'Add new task' button
Repeat this process to add as many tasks as you need!
Let's take the same example of the user Emily Davis and understand what her schedule would look like if this option was implemented:
