Your Company's General Settings

Learn how to set up your date and time format, your preferred language for your company's dashboard and other general settings!

After opening an account with us at Connecteam, you'll need to set up your general settings of the dashboard, such as selecting your date and time format, choosing your time zone, your preferred language and etc.

How to reach your general settings

In order to reach your general settings, head over to your name at the top right corner of the screen > click on your name, a menu will appear > select "settings" > the settings menu will appear

The General Tab

Under the general tab of settings, you can set up the following things:

  • Set up your company's name

  • Select your preferred language

  • Select your time format

  • Select your date format

  • Select your preferred time zone

  • Select your unit's format

These settings have a big impact on your account, since they serve as the foundation of your account. Your account will be built according to these settings!

How to change your logo and colors

If you're looking for a bit more customization and adding a personal touch to your account, then the "Logo and colors" tab is the exactly the place for you! Under this tab you can your own logo to the platform and even select your company's colors!

  • Pro tip: after adding your logo, select which will color will suit best using our "Theme Preview", located next to the logo and color selection!

Set up your admin permissions

Admin Permissions allow you to decide which actions your admins are and are not allowed to take. They give you control over which admins have access to which information. Besides the category and asset permissions which are assigned to each admin inside individual features, there are also general default options for your convenience.

Under the Admin Permissions tab you'll be able to modify Content, Categories and Smart Groups permissions that are given to your admins

Set up your account

Under your account tab you'd be able to modify your admin details, such as name, email address and even upload a profile picture! In addition, you'd be able to modify your company's details, such as selecting your Industry, number of employees, adding an address and etc.

Modify your welcome screen

Want to add a personal touch to your app's welcome screen? Then this is the place for you to do it! Under the "welcome screen" tab you can modify the welcome screen of your mobile app and add relevant data such as company's privacy policy and terms & conditions for your employees to view and agree on!

How to add custom publishers

If you don't want to publish updates under your user's name, you can create a custom publisher in order to publish updates for your employees!

In order to add a custom publisher, simply head over to the custom publishers tab > click on "Add new" > give your publisher a name and select which users will be able to publish under the custom publisher!

Set up Pay Rates Admin Permissions

Permitting your Admins to set users' pay rates can be a scary thing, after all this is real money we are talking about! For this reason, we have created a comprehensive set of admin permissions, ensuring that you can control exactly who can adjust the pay rate.

Under the admin permissions there are two options:

  • View: This option allows admins to only view the user's pay rate and estimated salary.

  • View and Edit: This option allows admins to not only view but also add or update the user's pay rate. Please note that all owners are automatically added with this permission.

Set up your account's security

Connecteam allows the owner of the account to set direct securities measures and customize them to the company's needs. As the owner of the account, you can set up either security settings or password strength.

Security settings:

  • Enable 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) for all admins when accessing the dashboard - add an extra layer of security to your admin's dashboard with 2FA. System admins will need to enter usernames and passwords, and then will be directed to add an additional temporary PIN code which will be sent to their mobile device via text message.

  • Force app users to authenticate using their device's authentication method when accessing the app - enable this option to force the user's authentication when accessing the mobile app. The authentication method will be according to their device's face recognition or fingerprint authentication.

  • Require users to take a selfie image when logging into the kiosk app - enable this option to avoid buddy punching or signing in. You'll be able to find an audit for those selfie images in each user's activity under their user profile.

  • Log out admins if they are inactive for more than X amount of minutes.

  • Lock admins for X minutes after X failed password attempts.

  • Require admins to reset their password every X days.

Password strength:

  • Passwords provide the first line of defense against unauthorized access to your computer and personal information. The stronger the password, the more protected your computer will be from hackers and malicious software.
