Your Company's General Settings

Learn how to set up your account's general settings!

After opening an account with us on Connecteam, you'll need to set up your general settings. The account's settings range from selecting visual customization options to managing your plan, as well as deciding on security settings and admin permissions.

How to Reach Your General Settings

To reach your general settings, head over to your name at the top right corner of the screen. Click on your name and select Settings. This will open up the account's General Settings.

Please note: Some tabs are restricted to owners only. To check what you should have access to, please visit our article about the differences between owners and admins.

The General Tab

In the General tab, you can set up the following items:

  • Set up your company's name

  • Select your preferred language

  • Select your date and time format

  • Select your preferred time zone

  • Select your unit's format

  • Choose if to automate sending an invitation to join the app for users added to the system via CSV or integration

💡 Tip: Language and time zone settings on the Connecteam mobile app will adjust based on your device's language and time zone settings.

These settings serve as the foundation of your account, so they have a big impact! Your account will be built according to these settings.

How to Change Your Logo and Colors

If you're looking for a bit more customization and adding a personal touch to your account, then the "Logo and colors" tab is exactly the place for you! In this tab, you can upload your logo to the platform and select your company's app colors.

To add or change a company logo, click on the company logo space to upload a file from your computer.

To remove a company logo and revert to the Connecteam logo, click on the X in the company logo space.

💡 Tip: After adding your logo, select which color will suit best using our "Theme Preview", located next to the logo and color selection.

Set Up Your Admin Permissions

Admin permissions allow you to decide which actions your admins are and are not allowed to take. They give you control over which admins have access to which information. Besides the category and asset permissions that are assigned to each admin inside individual features, there are also general default options for your convenience.

In the Admin Permissions tab, you'll be able to modify Content, Categories, and Smart Groups permissions that are given to your admins.

Set Up Your Account Details

In the Account tab, you can modify your admin details such as your name, and upload a profile picture! You'll also see here the email address associated with your account. In addition, you can modify your company's details, such as selecting your industry, the number of employees, and adding an address.

Manage Your Plan and Billing Information

The Billing tab is where you can find information about your current plan, update billing information, and view and download invoices. From this screen, you can also upgrade your plan or cancel your subscription. To learn more about managing your billing, please refer to this article.

Modify Your Welcome Screen

Want to add a personal touch to your app's welcome screen? This is the place for you to do it! In the Welcome screen tab, you can modify the welcome screen of your mobile app and add relevant data such as the company's privacy policy and terms & conditions for your employees to view and agree to upon entering the app.

Customize Your Feed

In the Feed settings tab, you can customize how users will view the dashboard and mobile feed, and how you can post and categorize information.

Custom Publishers

If you don't want to publish updates under your name, you can create a custom publisher to publish updates for your employees on behalf of a persona, a department or team name, or any other fun character!

To add a custom publisher, go to the Feed settings tab and in the custom publishers tab click 'Add publisher'. Give your publisher a name and select which users will be able to publish under the custom publisher.

Feed Topics

Feed topics allow you to segment your feed based on your custom topics and categories. With the ability to differentiate between what’s important and what is merely 'nice to have', you can organize updates by category to ensure everyone stays informed while maintaining their attention on the information that matters most.

Enable Pay Rates

In the Pay Rate tab, you can enable pay rates to be used across the platform. Once it's enabled, pay rates can be set in the user profile and it'll appear in the users' timesheets as well. From this screen, you can also set admin permissions for pay rates, so you can be in control of who can adjust the pay rate.

Set Up Your Account's Security

Connecteam allows account owners to set direct security measures and customize them to the company's needs. As the owner of the account, you can set up security settings, password strength, and single sign-on (SSO).
